In 2023, Sign of Hope will turn 40. Millions of people around the world have so far benefited from our work and built a life with dignity. This year, we are taking a special look at the work we have done.
Everyone should be able to exercise their civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights. We stand up for people whose rights are violated or threatened.
We help impoverished people to improve their lives in the long term. To do this, we act according to the principle of "helping people to help themselves".
For us, every human being is valuable, created by God, loved and is entitled to a life of dignity. Our work should enable the people we support to live in dignity. To achieve this goal, we are guided by four dimensions of dignity.
The first article of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Germany states: Human dignity is inviolable. In our work, we focus on the dignity of every human being and are guided by five principles.
The worldwide project work of the Sign of Hope Foundation is realised from the income of the foundation's assets. With a donation to the foundation's assets - a so-called endowment - you help people in need and distress on a long-term basis, year after year.
Support the work of Sign of Hope with an ongoing donation and become a supporting partner. Your regular contributions enable us to continuously implement life-changing projects and help people in need. Together we can create a better future.
Sign of Hope demonstrates transparency with its annual report. The report explains how our work is financed and in which countries the donations are used and how.
